Westborough – Bay State Commons was brighter Oct. 28 when the Westborough Garden Club hosted its first Light Up Westborough’s Pumpkin Wall. About 30 jack-o-lanterns were illuminated by battery-operated candles or glow sticks. Among the carved pumpkin designs were the Westborough High School Rangers’ “W” and the town’s 300th anniversary celebration logo. The club hopes to present the event annually.

Next on the club’s calendar is “Home for the Holidays” scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Mill Pond School. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for refreshments along with a holiday boutique and raffle. At 7 p.m., a flower arrangement demonstration will feature Chris Bakutis of Mugford’s Flower Shoppe, Faris Castin of Faris Farm Flowers and Emily Harvey of Harvey’s Farm. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door, and are available at the businesses or by emailing westboroughgardenclub@gmail.com.
