WESTBOROUGH – An information meeting on Section 2 of the proposed Boston to Worcester Air Line Trail (BWALT) will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. in the Great Hall in the Forbes Municipal Building, 45 W. Main St.

This meeting aims to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Segment 2 Project.

The proposed project consists of constructing a new 10-foot-wide shared-use path beginning on Otis Street, opposite Hocomonco Pond, and extending to Park Street, a total distance of approximately 1.67 miles.

Key features of the project include a parking/staging area on Otis Street; a new bridge crossing of the Assabet River; and various wooden boardwalk segments.

Major intersection crossings at Meadow Road at Milk Street, and Park Street will be enhanced with pedestrian and bicycle accommodations.

All comments made at the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
