WESTBOROUGH – Officials are investigating a threat reported by a religious organization.
According to a press release, the Westborough Police Department received a call at 11:04 p.m. June 14 from the director of a Westborough religious organization “in reference to a threat of harm made on social media.”
Police said that local, state and federal organizations are investigating the incident, but “the threat appears to be a hoax and there is no danger to the public or the organization currently due to the threat.”
