WESTBOROUGH — The Employee Excellence Award Committee has presented the March 2023 award to Susan Bush, administrative assistant in the Town Clerk’s office.
Bush has worked for the town for more than 20 years. She worked in the Recreation Department before coming into the Town Clerk’s office in August 2008.
Bush works hard to help the office prepare for elections and town meetings, and does so without needing direction. She processes dog licenses almost entirely on her own which allows the town clerk to focus on her job, especially while the office has been short-staffed. Her familiarity with the residents in this town, present and former, sets a nice tone with everyone who come through our door.
She is ready to accept any new tasks and is ready to give honest feedback when asked. Following Wendy Mickel’s retirement, it has been crucial to have an “all hands on deck” mindset to get the office through the gap in staff. Susan has risen to the occasion and we appreciate all she has done.
She will be awarded one personal day to be used over the next 12 months.
