WESTBOROUGH – Westborough’s girls tennis season will continue after a 5-0 sweep of Walpole in their Round of 32 state tournament match on Tuesday.
The second-ranked Rangers hosted this contest, facing off against 31st-ranked Walpole at home in Westborough.
They solidified the win, punching a ticket to the Round of 16 and a meeting with Burlington on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Westborough will host that match, looking to continue a dominant season that has seen the Rangers nab 10 consecutive victories.
The team’s last loss came on April 28, with wins since then helping secure a CMADA title last Tuesday, among other things.
The Rangers have lost just one individual match across their last four contests, with 5-0 sweeps against the South High Community School, Nashoba Regional High School and now Walpole High School.
They beat Wachusett 4-1 in the CMADA finals.
