WESTBOROUGH – A major accident near the Westborough/Hopkinton town line prompted an emergency response on Saturday as crews worked to free at least one individual trapped in their vehicle.
The Westborough Fire Department shared a photo of the scene on Facebook just after 2:30 p.m., showing a pickup truck and a sedan involved in a crash on the ramp connecting I-495 south to I-90 eastbound.
The photo showed the truck straddling a mangled guardrail, with debris scattered across the road.
The sedan sat similarly damaged nearby.
“Expect heavy delays,” the Fire Department wrote.
