REGION – This weekend’s slow moving winter storm has finally pulled away.
It has left upwards of nine inches of snow in some places, though, according to new data released by the National Weather Service.
Westborough led the region in total accumulation with 9.6 inches recorded in at least one location just after 8 a.m.
Grafton followed close behind with 8.8 inches as of 4 a.m.
Hudson and Northborough then both recorded 6.3 inches of snow in measurements taken around 8 a.m.
A number of area schools announced delayed starts today due to poor road conditions.
Temperatures are now predicted to remain below freezing across much of the region through the next two days. Forecasters say warmer weather will then move in by mid-week.
The NWS emphasizes that some snow totals are unofficial.
