100-year-old Army Veteran Milton Goldstein receives a “Quilt of Valor” from the Westborough Veterans Advisory Board.

Westborough – Area veterans received salutes, decorative plants and, in one case, a quilt through a series of events and visits from the town Veterans Advisory Board, last week.

It was all connected to the annual Westborough Kindness Week, which ran March 21 – March 27.

Starting at the Willows retirement community on Lyman St., Board Members Andy Toorock, Paul Horrigan and Jim Tepper saluted veterans and presented potted flowers decorated with American flags.

The Board brought similar gifts to The Highlands Gracious Retirement Living and 20 of its veteran residents, before then visiting 100-year-old Milton Goldstein.
