Westborough – Three Westborough High School students who are traveling in Europe over the spring break had the opportunity to tour the historic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris just two days before the fire that ravaged much of the Cathedral.
Abby Hammond, Jack Goodman and Helena Spofford, who are all seniors, along with WHS teachers Colleen Gormley and Andrew McIntyre.
Abby’s father Geoff Spofford said the group started in Paris, then went onto Milan and Florence and will end their trip in Rome, returning back home this Friday.
“While it is spectacular that they saw the Notre Dame on Saturday, they are all heartbroken at the damage sustained at the iconic church,” Geoff said.
